From the first day that I started my business back in 2004 I have been privileged enough to work with some amazingly talented people. Luckily for me, because of the nature of my work, many of them make the most gorgeously scrumptious cakes too.
It just so happened that in 2010, at Top Drawer (trade fair) I was lucky enough to meet the amazing Peggy Porschen.
For the those of you not familiar with her work, Peggy is a leader in the cake world. She is an award winning cake designer and Creative Director, a published author and owner of the fabulous Peggy Porschen Parlour in Belgravia, London (location for our latest photoshoot).
Described by TIME OUT as “The prettiest, poshest cakes in all of London” if you haven’t yet been to The Parlour, you must find an excuse to visit. Not only does it look stunning (see below) but Vanity Fair describes it as having “The best cupcakes in the world”. What are you waiting for!
Peggy’s Bespoke Cakes include work for many celebrities such as Elton John’s edible Faberge Egg and Sir Antony Hopkins 70th birthday cake, so you can imagine my delight when she enthused about my work and started stocking my products. Naturally, no self respecting celebrity cake creation looks right with plastic candleholders!
My Daisy collection even featured in her fabulous book ‘ Boutique Baking’ which is an essential read for anyone who wants to know more about sugarcraft and cake decoration.
And for those die hard cake decorating enthusiasts- don’t miss out on her Masterclass and Diploma courses offered at the Peggy Porschen Academy. See www.peggyporschen.com/academy for more details.
Peggy, I salute you! and look forward to working with you again in the future.
