Silver Christmas pudding charms are a tradition that date back to Victorian times when those lucky enough to receive a charm in their pudding would be blessed in the coming year.
To this day they add to the festive frivolity around the Christmas table with much discussion as to who received which charm and what it means for their year ahead.
Our set of 9 sterling silver lucky charms includes a horseshoe, wishbone, sixpence, bell, thimble, button, pair of travellers boots, Christmas tree and Christmas pudding, each with their special significance.
Out of stock
Beautifully presented in the finest luxury gift box, this set of silver Christmas pudding charms comes complete with a card giving instructions for their use and the meanings of each charm. (Note, the card lists the meanings of 6 of the charms only. The additional 3 charms – travellers boots, Christmas tree and Christmas pudding – were added after the card had gone to print!).
As these charms are solid silver they can be steamed inside your Christmas pudding. We recommend that you tie a bright ribbon to each charm and wrap them in greaseproof paper so that they are easy to find when serving your pudding. Don’t forget to instruct your guests to take care when eating their desert so they don’t swallow a lucky charm by mistake! You could also hide them under each plate for your guests to find.
The perfect gift for a budding pudding chef for this year and many Christmases to come!
